Egypt "Corporate News" reported on September 13, according to the Spanish Ministry of Agriculture, a report, Egypt has overtaken South Africa to become the EU 's largest orange exporting country
.

From September 2020 to July this year, Egypt exported nearly 310,000 tons of oranges to the EU, an increase of 22% year-on-year, while exports from South Africa fell by 16% to 290,000 tons
.
Prior to this, South Africa has been the EU's largest overseas supplier of oranges
.
