Recently, Brazil's national electricity company Eletrobras approved the sale of some wind power assets and 1,000 kilometers of transmission lines, with a total scale of $766 million
.
In particular, the board of directors of Boris National Electricity has approved 70 special small companies (SPEs) for auction
in 17 batches.
Details of each SPE will be released
at a later date.
The total installed capacity of the approved wind power assets reaches 970 MW, and the related 1,000 km transmission line is for sale
.
This plan is part of the 2018-2022 operational and management plan of
Electricity Brasil.
The sale of the underlying assets and equity is intended to further reduce the financial leverage of the Group and its subsidiaries and to reduce
the net debt and EBITDA metrics.
Credit Suisse has been hired to provide services
for the sale of wind power assets and transmission line equity at the Brazilian National Power Company.
