According to Reuters, GE and French utility EDF have agreed to form six reactors for the Maharashtra nuclear power project, which will be the world's largest nuclear power project
when completed.
GE and EDF said in a joint statement that six European pressurized water reactors will be used to build a 9,900-megawatt nuclear power project
in Jaitapur, south of Mumbai.
EDF will be responsible for the engineering integration of the entire project, while GE Power will be responsible for designing key parts of the plant and providing its main components

GE will also provide operational support services and training programs to meet the needs of
the state-owned Nuclear Power Corporation of India, the owner and operator of the plant.
