April 2, 2022 - Eastman Chemical Company (NYSE: EMN) announced that the company and its subsidiaries have completed the previously announced sale of its adhesive resin business to Synthomer plc
.
The transaction includes hydrocarbon resins (including Eastman Impera tire resins), virgin monomer resins, polyolefin polymers, rosins and dispersions, as well as product lines of oleochemical and fatty acid-based resins
.
The business was previously part of Eastman's Additives and Functional Materials business segment
.

The transaction is valued at $1 billion in cash
.
JP Morgan Securities LLC is serving as exclusive financial advisor to Eastman and Jones Day is serving as legal counsel to Eastman
