On September 4, in response to the widespread damage caused by Hurricane Ida in Louisiana, Dow and the Dow Company Foundation announced a $2 million donation to support immediate relief and long-term recovery efforts related to the storm and its aftermath
.
This support also includes assistance to the company's affected employees
.
"Our thoughts and support are with all those affected by Hurricane Ida," said Jim Fitterling, chairman and chief executive officer of Dow
.
"Our primary focus right now is the safety of our colleagues, our operations and our communities, and the Dow team is working closely with our partners and stakeholders to help address the immediate and long-term impacts of the storm
.

As part of this commitment, Dow is working with local parish, regional and national partners to provide critical services to individuals immediately impacted by the storm
.
