Costa Rica plans to introduce new regulations: supermarkets ban the sale of plastic shopping bags

On October 31, the bill regulating the use of plastic products in the market passed the second round of discussions in the Legislative Assembly of Costa Ri.

Costa Rica's "Repubblica" reported on November 1 that the Christian Social Solidarity Party lawmaker who proposed the bill said: "(On issues such as regulating the use of plastic products) a 'polarized' process and results are needed, not just It's a speech or a slog.

The lawmakers also proposed in the bill that plastic recycling companies should be given a "public welfare" nature and supported by government departmen.
