According to Vietnamese media reports, the Department of Industry and Trade of Lang Son Province, Vietnam announced on February 12 that it will stop receiving fresh fruit trucks from February 16 to 25 to release more than 1,000 trucks stranded at the port
    .

The Department of Industry and Trade of Lang Son Province stated that as of the morning of February 12, the total number of trucks on the Vietnamese side of the three ports of Friendship-Youyiguan, Puzhai-Xinqing, and Aidian-Chima was 1,640, of which 1,390 were fresh.
Fruit carts, accounting for 85% of the total
    .
The total number of trucks rose to 1,815 on February 13, just 36 fewer than the previous day
    .

Due to the severe epidemic situation in Vietnam, the number of new cases exceeded 25,000 per day
    .
Coupled with the current outbreak in Baise, Guangxi, China has strengthened epidemic prevention and control measures in border areas
    .
The customs clearance time per vehicle has increased from the previous 10-15 minutes to several hours, with an average of only 70-90 trucks clearing customs per day
    .

At the same time, there are 160-180 trucks going to the port in Vietnam every day, mainly transporting fresh fruits such as dragon fruit, watermelon, jackfruit and mango
    .
It is currently the harvest season in southern Vietnam, and a large number of fruits will be available one after another
    .

At the Youyiguan port, a driver transporting dragon fruit said that he has been unable to clear customs since he arrived at the port on February 4
    .
According to reports, not only the price of transfer drivers has risen several times, but these stranded vehicles also incur a lot of expenses every day
    .
Many transportation companies are afraid to accept goods exported to China and instead do domestic transportation in Vietnam
    .

The secretary-general of the Vietnam Fruit and Vegetable Association said that the impact of this congestion will not be as big as at the end of 2021, when some fruits such as jackfruit, dragon fruit, mango, watermelon and dragon fruit will be affected
    .
Domestic fruit prices in Vietnam will fall, and exports to China will also decline
