Recently, Clariant and chemical manufacturing company India Glycols Limited (IGL) announced that the two companies have jointly established a renewable ethylene oxide derivative joint venture company, with 51% and 49% of the shares held by both parties
.
The joint venture company operates under the name "Clariant IGL Specialty Chemicals Pte Ltd" and has obtained all necessary regulatory approvals
Clariant Chief Executive Officer Conrad said: "The successful formation of this joint venture has strengthened our core product portfolio and made Clariant one of the leaders in green ethylene oxide derivatives

It is our commitment to increase value through sustainable development.
Clariant IGL Specialty Chemicals Pte Ltd has approximately 200 employees and sells all Clariant Specialty Industrial and Consumer Products products in South Asian countries
.
To support production, IGL has signed a long-term supply agreement for ethylene oxide made from bioethanol and other matters
The joint venture will be led by Nitin Sharma, the current director of South Asia for Clariant's Specialty Industrial and Consumer Products business unit
