In response to the core scientific question of "how does chronic stress dynamically drive depression", Yihui Cui's team conducted a rigorous and unbiased screening of the whole brain with LHb as the core of the circuit, and found that the lateral hypothalamus (LH) is the core upstream of LHb stress-sensing brain regions
