On August 30, 2021, the international academic journal Molecular Metabolism published an online article "PAQR9 regulates hepatic ketogenesis and fatty acid oxidation during fasting by modulating protein stability of PPARα" by Chen Yan's research group, Shanghai Institute of Nutrition and Health, Chinese Academy of Sciences
The alternation of hunger and eating is the most fundamental physiological process of life, in which a large amount of metabolic state changes can occur
Lin Yijun, a PhD student in Chen Yan's research group, and others found through big data analysis and animal experiments that PAQR9 is one of the most significantly down-regulated genes in the liver under starvation, and identified that PAQR9 expression is affected by PPARγ during starvation-feeding.
Researcher Chen Yan from the Shanghai Institute of Nutrition and Health, Chinese Academy of Sciences is the corresponding author of the paper, and PhD student Lin Yijun is the first author of the paper
