medical ShinkansenCoronary heart disease is the number one killer of human health, the fatality rate and incidence rate remain high.“ Coronary heart disease is high fatality rate, because there is no non-invasible, convenient, fast detection gold standards, patients can not pay real-time attention to their coronary vascular health, but also can not find the body strange, timely medical treatment. On January 20, Dr. Zhang Chao, founder of Shenzhen Reading Technology Co., Ltd., told Science and Technology Daily that China has the highest incidence of cardiovascular disease in the world, with 160 million people with cardiovascular disease, and is increasing at the rate of 4 million people a year, with an average of 30 sudden myocardial infarctions per minute.During his time at Johns Hopkins University in the United States, Zhang Chao's lab was focusing on the heart, and he was responsible for the simulation and judgment of the heart and coronary blood vessels based on CT images. The experience gave him a glimpse of the real need for a diagnosis of coronary heart disease. At present, the diagnostic criteria for coronary heart disease are coronary artery anthosis, which shows 50% and above of tube cavity stenosis. However, more and more clinical evidence shows that it is not reliable to rely solely on the degree of tube cavity stenosis to determine the presence of ischemic heart muscle.Zhang Chao introduced that at this stage, the diagnostic means of coronary heart disease include digital imaging angiography (DSA angiography), CT angiography (CT vascular imaging/CTA), coronary artery blood flow reserve fraction measurement (FFR measurement) and so on. Among them, only CT creating is a non-invasional inspection means, the operation method is simple and safe, but due to the occasional artifacts in the image, resulting in deviation; FFR measurement refers to the ratio of the maximum blood flow of blood vessels to the maximum blood flow that can be obtained when there is no stenosis in coronary arteries, and it is obtained by invasive surgery to send the pressure guide wire to the far end of the narrow lesions and after injection of adenosine. When the FFR is less than 0.75, it indicates a condition in which stenosis causes blood flow disorders at the far end of the blood vessels.“ With the development of image processing technology and computational fluid dynamics, no invasive surgery is required, and it has become a reality to diagnose coronary heart disease only by reconstructing CT creating models and calculating FFR values by blood dynamics simulation. Zhang Chao said that to this end, he and his team developed CT-FFR technology, both crown CT creating non-invasible, simple, safe and FFR value measurement of high accuracy, the relevant clinical trials are nearing the end.Dr. Zeng Yong, director of cardiology at Beijing Anzhen Hospital affiliated with Capital Medical University, believes that the technology can make doctors no longer need to manually label, rely on personal experience to judge the degree of vascular stenosis of patients, and achieve full automation, can be completed in a matter of minutes, to balance medical resources, improve the level of regional medical care is of great significance.
