The China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission recently approved the establishment of the China Fishery Mutual Insurance Association

Zhu Junsheng, research director of the China Insurance and Pension Research Center of the PBC School of Finance, Tsinghua University, said that the establishment of the China Fishery Mutual Insurance Association is an important symbol of the implementation of the major system reform of the fishery mutual insurance

According to the official website of the China Fisheries Mutual Insurance Association, as of the end of 2020, the whole system has insured 13.

In 2020, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and the China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission jointly issued the "Notice on Promoting the System Reform of the Fishery Mutual Insurance System", which fully opened the system reform of the fishery mutual insurance system.

Zhu Junsheng said that this reform will help establish a regulated fishery risk protection system and will promote the high-quality development of fishery insurance
