According to the ASOEX website, the Table Grape Committee of the Association of Chilean Fruit Exporters (ASOEX) released the second assessment
    of the 2022/23 season.
Total exports are expected to be 68.
    6 million cases (8.

    from the 2021/22 season.

In early October, the Table Grape Council forecast a 4.
    9%
year-on-year decline in exports in its first assessment.
ASOEX President Iván Marambio explained that although the second assessment was revised down by 2.
8% from the first, the latest assessment showed an increase
    in exports of new varieties.
This is not only compared to previous assessments, but also related to traditional varieties and Red Globe shipments, indicating that the industry is undergoing variety replacement, which also explains why total shipments have declined
    .

In terms of varieties, the export volume of new varieties is expected to exceed 36.
74 million boxes, followed by traditional varieties with 20.
37 million boxes and Red Earth with 11.
    49 million boxes
    .
In terms of grape appearance, the number of white grapes has increased and will reach 24.
01 million boxes, mainly Thompson Seedless and Sugraone; Red grapes are estimated at 26.
63 million cases, with new varieties including Crimson Seedless, Flame Seedless and Perlon; The black variety reached 6.
47 million boxes, with new varieties including Autumn Royal and Black Seedless
    .

The Council said Chile's exports of table grapes to all destinations would decline compared to the previous season, with the United States expected to fall by 1 percent, Asia by 9 percent and Europe by 27 percent
    .

The United States will continue to be the main export destination for Chile's table grapes, with an estimated export volume of 38.
    62 million boxes
    .
This is followed by Asian exports of 14.
    8 million cases, Europe 9.
12 million cases, and the remaining 6.
06 million cases will be exported to other markets
    .

This season, the Table Grapes Council will assess the export volume of table grapes four times, with the next two assessments taking place at the end of November and December respectively, and will be assessed
based on weather conditions, logistics freight costs, labor conditions and global logistics conditions.
