Canadian Solar announced a 10-year power purchase agreement
with a 17.
6 MW solar PV plant in Sicily, Italy.
The portfolio is co-owned by Canadian Solar and Manni Energy, a renewable energy company dedicated to engineering, O&M services and energy efficiency, which is also part of the Manni Group, which will also provide turnkey EPC services
for the project.
This landmark PPA will cover 100% of electricity and is considered the longest term PPA
for a completely subsidy-free solar PV portfolio signed in Italy to date.
As part of the agreement, TrailStone will also act as the market representative for
the Italian wholesale market portfolio.
It is understood that the solar PV portfolio is expected to start generating electricity
in the second quarter of 2019.
Production is expected to be around 34 GWh per year, equivalent to the annual consumption of 12,000 households in Italy

of a new era of subsidy-free solar PV in Italy.
