Canadian Solar has partnered with Denmark's Pensionskassernes Authority (PKA) to complete a PV project transaction that will see PKA acquire significant stakes
in two solar power plants in California.

The deal is valued at approximately $307 million, and PKA will acquire a 49% passive stake in Canadian solar companies' Garland and Tranquillity solar projects, which have a combined capacity of 260MW.

The deal is PKA's first solar investment
    .

Both PV projects were completed by Recurrent Energy and began operations
    in 2016.
Southern Power owns a 51% stake
    in both units.
Located in Fresno and Kern counties in California, these sites provide enough energy
    for 100,000 homes.

The CEO of PKA said, "At PKA, we are strongly committed to investing in a greener, more sustainable future, while ensuring good returns
    for our members.
That's why we're excited to partner with
energy companies like Canadian Solar Solar.
    Adds another green energy investment
    to our portfolio.
This is our first direct investment in solar and is an important complement
to our investments in wind and biomass.
By 2020, we aim to allocate 10% of our total investment to climate-related projects equivalent to DKK 30 billion
