    Recently, several Canadian companies jointly proposed to build a 12 million tons/year floating liquefied natural gas (LNG) export facility on the coast of British Columbia, called the Ksi Lisims LNG project
    .


    The project is jointly proposed by Rocky Mountain LNG Company, Western LNG Company and Nisga'a Nation, and is planned to be constructed on the offshore land of Pierce Island


    It is reported that the commercial operation of the project is expected to start at the end of 2027 or 2028, with a production capacity of approximately 17 billion to 20 billion cubic feet per day
    .


    Two natural gas pipeline projects supplying the project are under evaluation and will be connected to natural gas resources in northeastern British Columbia
