On August 16, Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer BYD announced that it has delivered 101 pure electric vehicle E6 sedans
to Bangkok.
The company also said it will supply another 1,000 electric vehicles
soon.
BYD has delivered 101 electric vehicles to Bangkok
According to BYD, it has reached an agreement with Thailand to export an additional fleet of cars to make it the number one automaker
in the country's pure electric vehicle market.
Bangkok's new fleet of e6s will be used as VIP taxis and as part of
a car-sharing service.
The E6 is powered
by BYD's lithium iron phosphate battery.
BYD claims that the E6 car can travel 400 kilometers
with just two hours of charging time.
Liu Xueliang, general manager of sales of BYD's Asia-Pacific branch, said, "BYD is promoting the transformation
of global electric vehicles.

With more than 100,000 taxis and around 43,000 buses crossing hundreds of kilometers in and around Bangkok every day, vehicle emissions are high
