Iran's Ministry of Energy recently revealed that between 2016 and 2021, Iran's installed renewable energy capacity will reach 5,000 megawatts
.
According to the Energy Ministry, Iran's installed renewable energy capacity will reach 5,000 megawatts
by the end of the sixth development plan.
Iran's renewable energy is currently dominated by solar energy, and it is expected to achieve 4,000 megawatts of installed capacity
by the end of the 12th administration.
With falling costs and government assurances to purchase renewable electricity, private sector investors, both domestic and foreign, are showing interest and confidence
in Iran's renewable energy.
At the same time, in order to achieve development goals, in response to the legal commitments of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change and energy efficiency by reducing carbon emissions, the Iranian government will spare no effort to promote the development of
renewable energy.
