Recently, British Petroleum Corporation (BP) announced that it has commissioned its Cassia C gas development project off the coast of Trinidad and Tobago
.
Cassia
C is BP's first gas offshore compression platform in Trinidad and Tobago and BP's largest offshore facility
.
The platform is the 16th offshore facility developed by BP E&E and is connected
to Cassia Junction, now located approximately 35 miles off the southeast coast of Trinidad.
BP said, Cassia
C is expected to produce 200 million ~ 300 million standard cubic feet of natural gas
per day at peak production.
The company said production will help meet BP's Trinidad and Tobago gas supply commitments and is critical
to Trinidad and Tobago's LNG and petrochemicals industry.
David, President of BP's Exploration and Development Division
Campbell said Cassia C is an important milestone
for BP in Trinidad and Tobago.
