Sinochem News Network News on August 5, British Petroleum (BP) said that it has signed a memorandum of understanding with CF Fertilizer Company, Mitsubishi Chemical Company, British Sembcorp Energy Company and Alfanar Company.
BP stated that CF Fertilizer, Mitsubishi Chemical and Sembcorp Energy are seeking to convert the fuel from the Teesside plant to BP’s clean hydrogen, and the agreement with Alfanar will also expand the supply of clean hydrogen to Alfanar’s development in Teesside.
BP plans to produce up to 1 GW of blue hydrogen production facilities in Teesside by 2030, accounting for 20% of the UK's hydrogen target
