Clean technologies can reduce primary energy consumption by around
40 percent by increasing vehicle efficiency, improving building design and reducing energy used for cooking and washing, according to a new report from BP.
BP: Clean technology is expected to reduce energy consumption by 40%.
The report shows that while it is technically feasible to meet the goals of the Paris Climate Agreement, technological advances alone will not achieve the required carbon reductions, and significant investments
will be needed in other areas.
BP has shown that further action should include policy measures, such as putting a price on carbon emissions, and encouraging consumers to make more sustainable choices

light vehicles such as cars and motorcycles, the report said.
