Abu Dhabi National Oil Company and Borealis have signed a cooperation agreement worth AED 22 billion to build a fourth facility at Borouge’s polyolefin production site in Ruwais, UAE

Under the agreement, ADNOC will provide feedstock for the plant, which is scheduled to start operations by the end of 2025

Borouge will manufacture polyolefin products such as polyethylene and polypropylene, as well as non-polyolefin products such as benzene and butadiene, at the new plant

Borouge operates a 450,000-ton-per-year polyethylene unit that started production in 2001
