On November 2, Borouge announced that it has partnered with 12 renewable resource recovery companies from seven countries to serve
key business areas in the Middle East and Asia Pacific.
Borouge CEO Reiner Hoflin said that cooperation with renewable resource recovery companies is an important step
taken by Borouge to implement its sustainable strategy.
Hoflin said that in 2021, Borouge and Singapore's renewable resource recovery company Plaspulp
Union Pte Ltd and China Suzhou Jinhui Technology Materials Co.
, Ltd.
forge partnership
for the first time.
Recently, Borouge partnered with UAE recycling company FAM Recycling
FZCO signed a cooperation agreement
with Eco-Blue of Thailand and Jiangxi Green Recycling Industry Co.
, Ltd.
of China.
This shows Borouge's determination
to promote the development of a circular economy.
According to reports, Borouge is promoting the construction of
plastic recycling system.
Physical recycled polyolefin materials sourced from 12 Borouge partners require rigorous testing and certification at the Borouge Packaging Centre of Excellence in Abu Dhabi to ensure the suitability and compatibility
of recycled materials for a variety of applications.
These recycled polyolefins can be used alone or blended with other grades of
polyolefins.
"Borouge's entry into the recycling market further strengthens its position
as an end-to-end solution provider in the field of virgin and recycled polyolefins," he said.
All recycled polyolefins from partners are commercially
available.
Last year, after signing with its first recycling partners, Borouge completed its first transaction
to recycle polyolefins.
