    According to a recent report by Benjamín Blanco, Bolivia's deputy minister of foreign trade and integration, Bolivia's food and beverage imports from January to July 2022 were only 301,390 tons, down nearly 30 percent
    from 421087 tonnes in the same period in 2021.
     
    Chile's "PortalPortuario" website reports that Blanco believes that the data confirms that the "import substitution plan" proposed by the Luis Arce government is having an effect
