On January 19, a reporter from the Beijing News learned from Beijing Xinfadi Market that on that day, the wholesale price of eggs in Xinfadi Market was 8.

The eggs sold in Xinfadi Market are mainly ordinary red-shell eggs, most of which come from Hebei, and a small part from Liaoning, Inner Mongolia and other regions

Regarding the recent price trend, Xinfadi said that this year, some enterprises and schools will have early holidays and employees will return to their hometowns early this year, which will reduce their purchasing power; vegetable prices are stable, pork prices are operating at a low level, and the substitution effect of eggs has weakened, resulting in flat egg sales.
