Recently, BBOXX successfully provided renewable energy services to more than 12,000 Togolese citizens with its smart solar home system, just six months
after its operation in Togo.
In December 2017, BBOXX entered into an innovative partnership with the Government of Togo to provide energy, part of the goal of
significantly increasing the electrification rate in Togo, especially in rural areas.
Its mission is to bring electricity
to more than 2 million citizens by 2022.
It will also adopt mobile payment solutions across the country to help improve financially inclusive rural communities
.
BBOXX has been relentlessly committed to innovation, working with the Government of Togo on a program to accelerate the deployment of BBOXX solar home systems
in targeted areas.
It also plans to launch new devices
, including solar fans, starting in July 2018.
The CEO of BBOXX said, "It is very positive
to look at the impact that the BBOXX business has had on Togo in just half a year.
We have ambitions to expand in the country and sell another 10,000 units
by the end of this year.
In 2018, some countries in Africa, such as Togo, still had electrification rates
of less than 50%.
Energy poverty is the problem of our time, and we are solving it, providing energy
to 650,000 people around the world to date.
