once again proved its design strength. The latest global color trend report, Radar Blind Spots, won two internationally renowned design awards, the 2014 Red Dot Award: Communication Design and the iF Design Award.
Color Trends Report is aimed specifically at designers of automotive manufacturers and includes global and regional color themes based on observations of social trends. The report is not only a presentation tool, but also a source of design inspiration. Color samples coated with original paint reflect trends and are expressed through meaningful images as a common theme throughout the report.
Van der Auwera, Global Design Manager, BASF Coatings, said: "Predicting trends and presenting colors is a huge challenge. The visual and tactile quality of global trend reporting is therefore of paramount importance to us. This is a core part of our communication with our customers. Mark Gutjahr,
designer at BASF Coatings, added: "The award for Radar Blind spot demonstrates our ability to win the trust of our customers and design panels and to express color trends in an innovative way. "In October 2014, the Trend Report was awarded the 2014 Red Dot Award: Communication Design Category. With the iF Design Award, BASF has once again made its mark in two of the world's most prestigious design awards.
, the Color Trends Report demonstrates BASF's strength in cross-cultural communication and tailoring coatings for specific markets. "The factors driving color trends may be global, but as we turn them into color, we must adapt them to brand image, market development, and consumer behavior in the region." Van der Auwera said. As a result, color trend reports always take global and regional color themes into account.
