in Nepal.
Bangladeshi officials said that at the fourth meeting of the Nepal-Bangladesh Technical Committee on Trade Facilitation, both countries had a positive attitude
towards simplifying existing issues related to tariff and non-tariff barriers.
"Apart from trade issues, Bangladeshi officials are keen to invest in hydropower projects
in Nepal," said officials involved in the negotiations.

Bangladesh, which consumes a lot of electricity, has been showing interest
in investing in energy projects in Nepal.
At a recent ministerial meeting in Dhaka, the two countries agreed to trade
electricity through India's transmission network.
Four months after a ministerial meeting between energy officials from Nepal and Bangladesh agreed to trade electricity through India's transmission network, Nepal, India and Bangladesh also negotiated the use of the Indian grid to transfer electricity from Nepal to Bangladesh
