    ASTM F1927 Standard Test Method for Determination of Oxygen Gas Transmission Rate, Permeability and Permeance at Controlled Relative Humidity Through Barrier Materials Using a Coulometric Detector This test method covers procedures
    for determining oxygen transfer rates by thin films, flakes, laminates, coextrusions or plastic-coated paper or fabrics at steady-state, given temperature and relative humidity %RH levels.

    This test method extends the common practice
    of dealing with zero humidity or at best assuming humidity.

    Humidity plays an important role
    in the oxygen transfer rate (O).

    Test principle: the pre-treated specimen is clamped between the test chambers, oxygen or air flows on one side of the film, high-purity nitrogen flows on the other side of the film, oxygen molecules diffuse through the film into the other side of the high-purity nitrogen, carried by the flowing nitrogen to the sensor, through the analysis of the oxygen concentration measured by the sensor, calculate the oxygen transmittance and other results
