The base fluoropolymer production capacity, that is, to achieve a 35% increase in PVDF production capacity by 2022

The new capacity is expected to be put into operation by the end of 2022

The Changshu PVDF plant is built for the existing coatings market and the rapidly emerging lithium battery and water filtration markets against the backdrop of the strong growth potential of the Arkema Group in Asia, especially China.

The Changshu PVDF plant has been expanded several times over the past decade, most recently in December 2020

“The establishment and start-up of this plant in 2011 was an important milestone for Arkema; our team is also very proud of the continued expansion of the plant,” said Arkema Senior Vice President of Arkema’s Performance Polymers business unit Mr.
