The transaction is expected to be completed in the first half of 2022 and is conditional on the completion of Hexion’s previously announced sale of its epoxy resin business to Westlake Chemical

The transaction brought considerable value to Hexion Holdings’ shareholders.

Hexion agreed at the end of November to sell its epoxy resin business to Westlake Chemical for US$1.

After the sale of the epoxy resin business, Hexion will become a leading manufacturer of adhesives and performance materials for the production of engineered wood products and other growing specialty materials
