Recently, the national mining company of Chile (ENAMI) has signed a contract with Acciona Energía to supply it with 100% renewable electricity
    from April this year.

Under the contract, Acciona will build a new solar photovoltaic plant
    in northern Chile.
The electricity generated by the power station will be supplied to the ENAMI plants in the Anafagasta, Atacama and Coquimbo regions, and the agreement also covers the consumption associated with the modernization of the
Fundición Hernán Videla Lira foundry in the town of Paipote, which began in 2022.
This means that all ENAMI plants will run on renewable energy
from which Acciona was supplied in the same year.

CEO of Acciona Energía South America said, "Due to the importance of its customers, the sector in which it operates and the fact that it solidifies our position
in the PPA market for businesses in the country.
We are grateful to Acciona for helping the Chilean National Mining Company achieve its goal
    of 100% renewable electricity consumption.
In addition, the agreement allows us to increase our PV capacity in Chile, which is an important milestone
    in our development activities.

The Executive Vice President of ENAMI added, "This contract is part of
the modernization process we are driving at ENAMI.
This is very important to us because it demonstrates our commitment to
the sustainable development of our company and our country.
The new emission control technology we will be adopting in our foundry in Paipote, combined with the fact that all our plants are equipped with clean energy, makes us one of
the companies with the highest environmental standards in this sector.

Acciona's 246MW El Romero solar power plant and an operating wind farm in Chile and another are still in operation
    .
However, ENAMI's main supply comes from the photovoltaic project
in the Atacama region that Acciona won under Chile's electricity tender.

Acciona also recently signed a renewable energy PPA
with Aguas Chañar, a water recycling management company located in the Atacama region of Chile.
