    On November 17, 2020, in a joint operation carried out by the Singapore Food Authority (SFA) and the Singapore Immigration and Checkpoint Authority (ICA), a truck containing food consigned to Jun Hang F & B Pte Ltd was captured by the ICA The officer was detained in Woodlands Command

    The case was subsequently transferred to SFA for follow-up investigation

    The SFA investigation found that the company had illegally imported 440.
    7 kg of undeclared or under-declared fresh fruits and vegetables and 184.
    5 kg of under-declared processed vegetables in the goods imported from Malaysia
    .
    The illegal goods have now been confiscated
    .
     
      The Food Authority of Singapore stated that illegally importing vegetables from unknown sources will cause food safety risks.
    All food imported into Singapore must meet the requirements of the Food Authority and food safety standards

    Only licensed importers can import food, and each batch of goods must be declared and accompanied by a valid import permit
    .
    Illegal import of fresh fruits and vegetables can be fined up to 10,000 U.
