30,000 tons of polylactic acid signed by Yangzhou Huitong will use Sulzer's technical equipment

The Degradable and Recyclable Center was informed that on March 4, Sulzer's official website announced that it had signed a polylactic acid (PLA) project technology and Key equipment contract, the project has an annual production capacity of 30,000 tons

The factory will be able to produce a wide range of PLA grades, which are widely used in food packaging, kitchen utensils, toys and more

To meet the requirements of Yangzhou Huitong, Sulzer will design and provide know-how for lactide purification, polymerization, devolatilization and post-reaction
