2021 will be the first year of the real outbreak of new energy vehicles

Some people say that 2020 is the first year of the outbreak of new energy vehicles, but Weimar’s founder, chairman and CEO Shen Hui disagrees.

Recently, the State Council promulgated the "New Energy Automobile Industry Development Plan (2021-2035)", which clearly stated that by 2025, my country's new energy and new vehicle sales will account for 20% of the total new vehicle sales.

Shen Hui believes that the release of this plan not only points out the direction for the development of domestic new energy vehicles, but also gives more confidence to the upstream and downstream industries.

In his view, the first year of the real outbreak of new energy vehicles will be 2021.

The emergence of new outlets is often inspired by policies, but the real needs of consumers are the core thrust of market development.

Shen Hui predicts that in 2021, Level 4 autonomous driving suitable for more scenarios will be mass-produced, and this "is the direction of Weimar’s efforts.

Shen Hui judged that 2021 is expected to become a real product turning point for new energy vehicles.

Regarding the "New Energy Vehicles to the Countryside" launched in 2020, Shen Hui said that from the perspective of enterprises, the economic development of my country's third- and fourth-tier cities is relatively lagging, and the penetration rate of automobiles, especially new energy vehicles, is relatively low.
